Alexandra & Crestview Surgeries
Trainer: Dr Rav Lall
With 8 partners plus one salaried GP, we are a PMS practice of 16,400 patients in the North of Lowestoft. We have two sites, one at Alexandra Road, where our premises include a pharmacy, and a second site at Crestview Drive which has a large training and meeting room. The Crestview Drive premises is about to be extended to provide additional consulting rooms. We use the EMIS LV computer system.

We have one trainer who is a full time partner, a second partner currently completing his GP trainer course and a potential associate trainer. Training is seen as a practice-wide team approach and all partners are involved in teaching. We also teach 2nd year UEA medical students.
Out of hours is provided by TCN locally and you will be able to book training sessions directly with them.

Our team is supported by 2 nurse practitioners, 1 nurse prescriber, 5 practice nurses, 2 health care assistants, practice manager and 30 reception/admin staff. District nurses, health visitors, midwife, smoking cessation adviser and mental health link worker are attached to the team.
Partners meet weekly to discuss both management and clinical issues.

Chronic disease is nurse led. Most of the ‘same day’ emergencies are seen by nurse practitioners. We provide child health surveillance and minor surgery. We are represented on the Waveney Practice Based Commissioning board, referral leads and prescribing groups.

Personal interests of the partners include sailing, power boat racing, walking, skiing & DIY. As a practice we like to socialise together when opportunities arise.
Our practice website is http://www.alexandracrestviewsurgeries.co.uk
